LINDRUM AND NEWMAN TOUR
MODIFICATION OF RULES SOUGHT.

Camkin, on behalf of Lindrum and Newman, who will tour Canada and the United States in February, has .cabled the American Billiards Association seeking a modification of the rules aiming at giving themselves and the Americans an equal chance of success. Lindrum says that Newman and himself have developed cannon play to such an extent that they are confident they can hold their own in America, where the most popular game consists exclusively of cannons. CHANCE OF BREAKING RECORDS. LINDRUM’S UNFINISHED BREAK. London, Jan. 11. At billiards, Newman (received 7000) is 16,932, including breaks of 226, 107, and 353. Lindrum is 13,263, including breaks of 934, 508, 746, 202 and 914 (unfinished in 25 minutes, and including 170, 124 and 105 by nursery cannons, giving him a chance of bree. zing his own record of 1000 in 32 minutes).
