Although television was largely , an English invention, and was brought into existence by Mr. J. L. Baird, Americas enthusiasm for new things has been responsible for its far quicker development in the United States. There ate now 30,000 television sets at work in that country; and so popular is this new amateur hobby that a million sets ate being manufactured to be available the year after next.
