ROGERS—GRADY. •The wedding was celebrated recently at St. Peter’s Church, Wellington, of Margaret, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Grady, Kelburn, and Charles, only son of Mr. C. and the late Mrs. Rogers, Stratford, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. W. Bullock. The church was tastefully decorated by girl friends of the bride. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of ivory satin cut on classical lines, her sole ornament being a necklace of topaz tinted rhinestones. Her embroidered veil (lent by her aunt) was caught at the back of the head with a circlet of orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of apricot tinted roses. The bridesmaids, Misses Mary Wardell (chief), Sylvia Langdon, Phyllis Carter (cousin) and Evelyn Rogers (sister of the bridegroom) wore ankle length frocks of pale green lace and georgette with hats to tone, Led amber necklaces combined with their beautiful sheaves of red roses made a charming contrast. Mr. Gordon Saunders (Ngaere) was best man, and Messrs. Palmer (Dunedin), Wills (Hawera), and F. Grady junr., groomsmen. Mr. F- W. Rowley, who had played at the wedding of the bride’s parents, officiated at the organ. As the bridal party left the church several small girls of St. Peter’s Sunday School (former pupils of the bride) showered the path with rose petals, and presented the bride with a silver horseshoe. A reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, “Edgbaston, Kelburn. Mrs. Grady wore a sapphire blue georgette and lace frock, and carried a bouquet of roses and pansies. Rogers is associated, was included in the presents. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers left for the north, the latter wearing al. ensemble of blue with hat to tone. PUTT—MOODY. St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, was decorated with pink rambler roses and fern on the evening of December 28, when Ruth, youngest daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. J. Moody, Barrett Street, was married to Clarence Royden, youngest son of .Mr. and Mrs. Putt, Westown Canon E. H. Strong officiated and Mr. Pv. N. Renaud was the organist. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a dainty model frock of pale pink organdie, the ankle-length flared skirt being inlet with deeper pink petals, and a veil of palest pink tulle was finished with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of pink sweet peas and carnations. The bridesmaids were Miss W. Gayton and Miss M. Evans. Miss Gaytoil wore a frock of rose pink and floial oigandie fashioned on Victorian lines with a tight-fitting bodice and flared skirt, with two frills, and a picture hat and shoes to tone were worn. She carried a bouquet of sweet pe&s and. enmutiond. Miss Evans wore a mauve and floial organdie frock fashioned on the same lines with hat and shoes to match, and carried a bouquet of sweet peas and delphiniums. Both bridesmaids woie necklets and ear-rings to match their gowns, which were the gifts of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. B. Putt, best man, and Mr. P. Guscott as groomsman. The reception was held at the Devon Tea Rooms, where Mrs. Moody, mother of the bride, received the guests wearing a frock of brocaded metalline relieved with black lace, and black shoes and hat, and a bouquet of golden shaded roses was carried. Mrs. Putt, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of floral satin, with hat and shoes to match, and carried a bouquet of mauve violas. Mrs. F. W. Gayton, sister of the bride, wore a frock, of floral silk ninon with hat ami shoes to tone, and had a bouquet of autumn tinted flowers. The tables were charmingly decorated with pink and mauve flowers, and a beautiful pink wedding bell was suspended above the happy couple. The wedding cake was the gift of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Gnytoii. ’Mr. and Mrs. Putt left for Hawkes Bay, Mrs. Putt travelling in a wine shaded frock of satin beaute, with a close-fitting hat and fawn shoes and stockings.
