DANCE IN OAKURA HALL.
ATTENDANCE OF RESIDENTS. A successful dance was held last night in the Oakura hall, which was crowded with from all parts of the district and from New Plymouth.' The masters of ceremonv, Messrs. L. Rustling and H. Staverly, kept things moving to the modern and old-time music by Martin's Orchestra. The non-dancers played euchre, 12 tables being engaged. The prizewinners were Mrs. Hau 1, Mrs. H. Longlay 2, Mr. H. Gaylard 1, and Mr. Hau 2, after a play-off. ■Supper was handed round by the ladies’ committee, after which dancing was resumed into the early hours. Extras were played by Mrs. H, Corbett.
