CHARGE AGAINST DOCTOR
DRUNKEN DRIVING ALLEGED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, 'Dec. 22. John Efoenezer Kelly Brown, aged 45, a doctor, who was charged to-day with being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor-car in Hereford Street last night, was remanded till January 14. Bail was allowed in £25. Counsel for the defence said Dr. Brown had been ill before going out on Monday and 'took some drugs which affected him.
