TE KIRI SCHOOL PARTY
CHRISTMAS' TREE FUNCTION.
To mark the completion of the school year a breaking-up party was heid on Thursday afternoon in the Te Km school. Practically every child in the district, from babies in arms to senior pupils, was present. A band of workers had prepared salads and other "delicacies. , , . The children were seated at gaily decorated tables arranged around a weUI laden Christmas tree, above which a canopy of streamers was suspended. By the time the dainties were eaten Father Christmas arrived to distribute gifts to everv child. , , Mr T Coxhead, chairman of the school committee, thanked all the willing helpers also Mr. L. Nobbs, headmaster, and Miss J. Wright, assistant, for their untiring efforts towards making the function such a great success. Standard 6 pupils presented Mr. .Nobbs and MW Wright with & email gift.
