PRIZE-GIVING AT SCHOOL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Oeo school breaking-iip ceremony, which took the form of a tennis afternoon, was held on Friday afternoon. A few parents and members of the committee were present. Air. Harris, chairman of the committee, addressed the children and presented one attendance certificate and the challenge cups, presented by the committee lor the calf-rearing competitions. Kapu Onanu, winner of the competition, has been very successful wjoii her calf, having won"the challenge cup, first in the group competition and second for South Taranaki. Three pupils of the school made the journey to Hawera on Saturday to-take part in the tennis championships. Tennis has proved most popular this season, there being a number of enthusiasticplayers. Mr Frank Sampson, son of Air. and Airs. T. Sampson, Oeo Road, is at present in the Hawera hospital. Ensilage making is now practically finished at Oeo and haymaking will soon be in full swing.
