MOTOR-CYCLISTS COMPETE
CLUB RUN TO LEPPERTON. About 50 members and friends of tho North Taranaki Motor-Cycle Club held a very enjoyable run to Air. Cloke’s farm, Lepperton, during the week-end. Several sports events were decided during the day, after which swimming was enjoyed. .The run was captained by Air. K. Ward and Air. D. Broome was vicecaptain. The results of competitions were:— Private toad hill climb: G. Cloke (Alatchless), 19 4-ssec, 4-ssec handicap, 1; H. Mackinder (Norton), 18 4-ssec, 3sec. and N. Lightband (8.5. A. 19 3-ssec, 3 4-ssec, equal, 2; C. Hellier (Douglas), 23 4-ssee, 7 3-ssec, 4. Other starters were: J. Fitzpatrick (Norton), 17 l-ssec, 2-ssec handicap; J. Fenton (A.J.S.), 21 l-ssec, 3 4-ssec; G. Amore (Velocctte), 23 3-ssec, 7sec; K. Gray (A.J.S.), 20 4-ssec, 3 4-ssec; K. Ward (8.5. A. 20sec, 2 4-ssec. Acceleration, test: C. Hellier (Douglas), 10 l-ssec, 3sec handicap, 1;- N. Lightband (8.5.
