THE BUSY EXPORT SEASON

DAIRY PRODUCE FOR BRITAIN. BIG SHIPMENTS ARRANGED. The latest list of dairy produce loadings issued by the Dairy Board shows that the export season is now in full swing, with no sign of a diminution of output. Including eight ships now loading, the list of shipping space allotments provides for no fewer than 19 shipments sailing between December 24 and February 13, and totalling 829,'250 boxes of butter, and 289,850 crates of cheese. The quantities of dairy produce to be loaded at each port are as follows: —

Auckland’s share of the butter shipments is 66 per cent. The whole of the butter and cheese from Patea, and 5475 boxes of butter and ‘962 crates of cheese from Wanganui, will be transhipped at Wellington, for which port the total loadings will thus be 117,140 boxes of butter and 118,841 crates of cheese, the latter being 40 per cent, of the Dominion cheese •shipnients. Totals: Boxes butter, '829,250; crates cheese, 289,850. The Tairoa, Hertford, Norfolk and Opawa will take part shipments for West of Britain ports. Three shipments totalling 198,093 'boxes of butter and 72,958 crates of cheese, left by the lonic, Northumberland and Port Huon for London last week.
