CHILD POISONED BY PILLS
CUSTODIAN NOT BLAMED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne,‘Dec.’ 19. i A verdict that death was due to poisoning was' returned by the coroner at the inquest on. a nine , months old infant, Peter Denton, wno died on November 29 as' the' result of eating pills. The coroner, Mr: P. H. Harper, S.M., said that he did ■ not think the child’s custodian, Mrs. Evelyn Lister, could be blamed. The most that could be said was that she was somewhat careless in giving the child a bottle of pills containing a dangerous poison.
