NEW BRITISH SUBMARINE LAUNCHED.—The submarine Swordfish, the first of three new-design submarines authorised by the Naval Estimates of 1929 successfully launched at Chatham Dockyard on November 10. The christening was done by Lady Tyrwhitt, wife of Admiral Sir Reginald Tyrwhitt, commander-in-chief at the Nore.
