STRATFORD BOWLING CLUB.
ENJOYABLE CARD EVENING. Members of the Stratford Bowling Club with their wives and friends held an enjoyable card evening in Miss Tui Mcßae’s studio on Thursday. Fifty people were present, and the fact that the men all ■wore their club blazers and that every table was gaily decorated in fiags toning with the streamer decorations overhead aud the cheerful glow of a bright fire gave the function a distinctive air of gaiety and colour. Flag 500 was played until about ten o’clock, when supper was served. Afterwards a short musical programme was submitted. Mesdames E. Pickles and W. Harris and Mr. P. Coe contributed songs- and Mr. Brenan pianofore solos. Miss Evelyn Moon and Mr. Brenan played the accompaniments.' The card competition was won by the table of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Higgs and Mr. and Mrs. W. Harris. Mr. P. Skoglund controlled the games.
