LADIES’ LIFE-SAVING CLUB
ANNUAL NEW PLYMOUTH MEETING The annual meeting of the New Plymouth Ladies’ Life-Saving Club was held last night, Miss E. L. Dowling presiding over a small attendance. The report and balance-sheet, already published, vtfere adopted. The election of officers respited as follows: President, Miss E. L. Dowling;, eight vice-presidents were elected; secretary and treasurer, Miss M. Barlow; committee, Misses O. J. Taylor, N. Gardner and J. Biair; examiners, MrsHobart, Miss Barlow, Mrs. H. Avery and Miss E. L. Dowling; hon. auditor, Mr. H. Baily; delegates to Taranaki centre of the Royal Life-Saving Society, Miss Taylor and Miss Barlow; delegates to Taranaki Swimming Centre, Misses Gardner and Taylor; delegate to National Council of Women, Miss Dowling. Thanks were accorded the retiring officers, the auditor and the Press. The usual honorarium was granted the secretary.
