The matchings for the inter-provin-cial contest are:—Candy, Goughian, Hopkins and Plank, representing Alanawatu; Roguski, Turner, Findlay and Spavin, representing Taranaki. HAWERA W.DE.U. SOCIAL. ADDRESS BY AIISS KANE. A social afternoon was conducted by the Hawera branch of t’.ie AA’omen's Division Farmers’ Union in the Carlton Tea Rooms yesterday, w’hen Mrs. AV. E. Carter presided over a large attendance. An address was given by Miss Kane on the activities of the Pan-Pacific conference, and. the branch decided, to assist towards the financing of a country women’s delegate to the next conference.

In introducing Miss Kane, who is travelling with her mother, the president referred to ths kindness of Mrs. and Miss Kane in entertaining delegates of the division who uttended the last Wellington conference. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Miss Kane for her interesting address, Mrs. Lees (Okaiawa) speaking on behalf of the division.
