BASKETBALL CLUB DANCE
FUNDS FOR EAST END COURTS. An enjoyable final carnival dance organised by the combined New Plymouth basketball clubs, was held in St. Mary’s Hall last night in aid of the East End courts. There were about 150 dancers on the floor and the committee worked hard to see that everyone had an enjoyable time. Balloon, streamer and confetti dances all tended to keep the spirit of carnival going well into the night. Several novelty dances were held during the evening, the winners being: Monte Carlo, Miss Barry and Mr. J. Brown; lucky spot, Miss Lang aud Mr. Hoskin. Boulton’s orchestra provided a varied programme of popular music. Mr. H. Billing was master of ceremonies.
