KINGSFORD SMITH’S FLIGHT

Commodore Kingsford Smith left this moraine on the first stage of his flight to England. His intention is to attempt to beat Mr. Mollison’a record time. He reached the Parafield aerodrome near Adelaide in four and a half hours and landed to remedy a defective oil feed pipe, but resumed the journey half an hour later.
