temperatures to be cooler. By Telegraph—Frees Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be fair at first and milder in eastern districts, ami unsettled and cloudy in districts with a westerly aspect and in Otago with scattered rain, more especially from Taranaki southwards. Temperatures will become cooler generally during to-morrow. A moderate westerly depression is approaching tho Dominion. An extensive anti-cyclone covers the northern litsmiui Sea and practically the whole of Australia. Freshening northerly to westerly winds are probable, backing to southwesterly within the next 24 hours. Seas will be rather rough south cf Cape Egmont and rising about Cook and Foveaux Straits. They will be modciato elsewhere.
