FEDERATION COMMITTEE MEETS. REPAIRING DAMAGED AEROPLANE. Aero club matters were dealt with by a committee consisting of Messrs. A. 8. Burgess (Wanganui), A. Phillips (Palmerston North), C. Freyberg (Hawera), G. M. Snence (New Plymouth) and McLean (Feilding), set up at the last meeting of the council of the Western Federated (N. 1. Flying Clubs to go. into the whole organisation of the federation with a view to economies and to improving co-ordina-tion between the clubs. The committee met at Palmerston North recently and again at New Plymouth in the week-end. Members have inspected each of the aerodromes and hangars of the federated clubs and have prepared a number of recommendations which will be submitted to the next meeting of the council of the federation. n , ~ Messrs. Freyberg and Captain Gibbons were appointed a committee to inquire into the recent accident to ZK-AAX at Stratford. They wiU report their finding to the next council meeting, of the federation. Authority was given for procuring the necessary parts for the rebuilding of ZK-AAX-and this wiU be done immediately. In the meantime ZK-ACH, which was stationed at Hawera, has been sent to New Plymouth for the use of the New Plymouth members, in view of the fact that there is a greater demand for the use of a machine by trained pilots at New Plymouth than at Hawera. - _ The committee decided to leave FlyingOfficer I. Keith at Wanganui for the time being in view of the number of pupils offering there and to get as many, as pos sible ready to qualify for the certificate. The Manawatu club reported that it had 35 pupils on its list at the present time and the committee decided that Major G. A. C. Cowper should continue with the instruction of these pupils. The committee decided to adopt a uniform scale of charges for the use of the federation machine for flights between the aerodromes belonging to the constituent clubs and other towns of New Zealand.
