RADIO EXHIBITION’S SUCCESS
WONDERFUL DISPLAY AT OLYMPIA. INDUSTRY’S GREAT DEVELOPMENT. British Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Sept. 18. Large crowds attended the, opening day of the national radio exhibition at Olympia, London. The recent development of the British wireless industry has been such that the available space at Olympia proved insufficient for all the firms wishing to exhibit and an overflow exhibition is to be held at Manchester, opening on October 7. The exhibition contains five miles of stalls and is the largest of its kind in the world. Features of this year’s show are the range of exhibits and the remarkable reductions in price. The problems of power and selectivity have been so far mastered and manufacturers are giving great attention to the external appearance of sets, both standard and portable. A baby portable that can be carried in the pocket is one of the novelties of the show.
