YOUNG JOCKEY KILLED
ACCIDENT AT ASHBURTON. HEAD CRUSHED BY HOOFS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Ashburton, Sept. 10. To-day’s races were marred by an accident in tho Spring Handicap resulting iij tho death en route to the hospital of R. Henshaw, aged 18, of Christchurch, rider of Arch Arrow. The horse fell in A bunch of horses and Henshaw was trampled on, his skull being shockingly crushed. N. J. Dwyer, riding Ravine, was unseated by Arch Arrow and was eut »nd bruised.
