BEAST ESCAPES FROM TRAP MISSIONARY’S TERRIBLE END. LIVED TO TELL THE STORY By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7.30 p.m. Cape Town, Sept. 18. An American missionary, the Rev. Taylor, met with a terrible end near Livingstone. When he was going out to shoot a lion caught in a trap the lion broke loose, and the Rev. Taylor missed with three shots. The lion then attacked him. He fought gallantly, thrusting his hands down the animal s throat, but they were chewed off. The beast sat beside him for half an hour, and then ambled off. He died from loss of blood, after giving a full account of the fight;
