FAIR TO FINE WEATHER

UNSETTLED CONDITIONS COMING By Telegraph—Press Association. * Wellington, Last Night. The weather will he fair to fine generally but there will be some showers in the far north and south and later conditions will become unsettled in western districts from Taranaki southwards. An anti-cyclone extends between New Zealand and the New South Wales coast. A cyclone is still moving slowly to the east of East Cape, and a. rather deep westerly depression covers Victoria and Tasmania. There will he moderate to fresh southerly to westerly winds north of Farewell Spit and Cape Campbell. Elsewhere there will be variable winds tending to northerly, and later freshening. Seas will be rough about East Cape, and there will be a moderate swell ience southwards to Cape Campbell. Elsewhere the sea will be smooth to moderate.

The Ronaki discharged Onehunga cargo at New Plymouth yesterday and sailed at 9 p.m. for Onehunga, via Kawhia and Raglan. (Northern Co.) Sailed: Kanna, 6.10 p.m., for Auckland. The Hauturu arrived at Wanganui from New Plymouth at 4.30 p.m. Auckland, September 18: Arrived: Herminius, 4 p.m., from Wellington. Sailed: Ulimaroa, 11.15 p.m., for Sydney; Nairmbank, 5.20 p.m., for Wanganui; Kaimiro, 6.10 p.m., for Greymouth. Lyttelton, September 18. —Arrived: Gale (2.40 a.m.), from Wanganui; Waipahi (6.30 a.m.) from Timaru; Maori (6.45 a.m.), from Wellington; Totara (7.25 a.m.), from Timaru; Kuku (7.40 a.m.), from Wellington; Breeze (7.45 a.m.), from Timaru.
