POPULAR PIPE BAND DANCE.

ENJOYABLE HAWERA FUNCTION. I “ The popularity of the Hawera High* land Pipe Band dances was again shown oh Thursday evening, when approxi" mately 100 coujfles, including visiter# i from all over the province, attended one of these functions in the Foresters’ Hall. Mrs. Attrill’g Orchestra provided the dance music and Pipers B. Henson and I. Campbell played for some of the Highland dances. Extras were also con* tributed by Aire. Muir and Misses G. Purser and D. Nairn. The decorations were very pretty, coloured''streamers being suspended from a circle in the centre of the hall to the walls. Tiii,s Work was completed by Alesdames W. G. Simpson and J. W. Velvin. The supper arrangements were, in the hands of a committee comprising Alesdames C. Bowman, G. Smith, 11. Webber, T, C. Hobbs^J/Horton, W. Dowden and J. B. Laurenson.
