Answerixio- a question in the House of CommoxTs on the subject of war debts, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. P. Snowden, stated that the net war debt due to Britain by Italy at the signing of the funding agreement was £560,000,000. The net amount received since the wax’ was £23,000,000, ■ and the amount to be received) under the agreement was £254,550,000.' The war debt due to Britain by France at the signing of the Tending agreement was £600,000,000; the amount received since the war £43,625,000, and the total to be received) under the agreement was £709,500,000.' The total owing by Britain to the United States at the signing of the funding agreement was ; £020,000,000, the amount paid since the war £270,344,000, and the aggregate amount to be paid undei’ the agreement to complete the payments was £2,221,192,600.
