COMPENSATION AWARDED
DEATH OF A DRAINLAYER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. In the Arbitration Court _ to-day James Brown, carpenter, and his wife, Martha Hunter Brown, of Aparima Avenue, Miramar, were awarded compensation amounting to £l3O, plus £l9 10s funeral expenses and £lO 10s costs, against Leo Albert and Co., Ltd., plumbers, Wellington, Lx respect of the death of their son, George Andrew Hunter Brown, drainlayer, aged 32. ... Brown died as the result of injuries received through being knocked down by an unkixo i motor-car on Api'il 21 while excavating a drain.
