EARL JELLICOE’S PLEA IN CANADA.
SOME SACRIFICES NECESSARY.

“Let the next Imperial Conference * epeiik with a united voice and it will be found that the people of the Empire Will be “ readv to respond,” declared Earl Jellicoe, ’ addressing the Canadian Club at luncheon to-day. It was palpable, he continued, that each portion of the Empire must.be prepared to make some sacrifice and modify some of its opinions in order that conclusions might be reached and a policy adopted which would be for the good of the Empire as a whole. For th,is reason it was important that those representing each portion .of the Empire should make themselves thoroughly acquainted with the views held by people in other parts.
