POLITICAL CRISIS ENDED
NATIONAL ACTION IN BRITAIN SELECTION OF THE NEW MINISTRY EMERGENCY LEGISLATION SOON RAPID developments followed the resignation of the Labour Government on Monday and the appointment of Mr. Ramsay Macdonald to form a national ministry. The announcement of the personnel of the new Cabinet is expected momentarily, and to-day t e national administration will commence the drafting of emergency legislation, which will be issued in the form of Orders-m-Council. Drastic retrenchment in public expenditure is expected. Mr. Stanley Baldwin, Conservative Leader, has made it plain that the National Government is not to be considered a coalition. As soon as the emergency has passed the parties will revert to thenformer status, Parliament will be dissolved and a general election will take place.
