The Hon. Mr. Justice Blair'concluded the quarterly sessions of the Supreme Court at New Plymouth yesterday morning and left by car in the afternoon for Wanganui. The Duke of. Gloucester, who was operated on for appendicitis, spent a more comfortable night on Sunday, and his condition is satisfactory, saye a London cable.
Mr. Albert Spencer, president of the Auckland Provincial Employers’ Association, has been appointed* to represent the New Zealand Employers’ Federation at the annual meeting of the International Labour Office at Geneva, the Press Association reports from Auckland.
Mr. Harold Olson, who hae been on the clerical 1 staff of the Lands and Survey Department, New Plymouth, for six years, has resigned in order to take up farming at Egmont Village. Yesterday afternoon Mr. W. D. Armit, Commissioner of Crown Lands, made Mr.. Olson a presentation on behalf of the other members of the department.
