DUMPING GOLOSHES
SOVIET TRUST PROGRAMME. Goloshes, 42,500,000 pairs of them, are on this year’s programme of the Soviet rubber trust. The schedule also calls for 800,000 automobile tyres, and tubes. The ravr rubber for these products will come from English concerns, but the Government is experimenting with rubber plantations, in the southern Caucasus, near Batum, and hopes some day to be independent of outside sources. Until' then tlm British will be the winners in both the import and export part of the trade. While every one in Russia seems to have a pair of goloshes, and they are absolute necessities in that climate, large quantities are exported.
