ARMY’S “PEACEFUL REVOLT”
CITIZENS SUPPORT MILITARY.

Recd. 7p.m. Quito (Ecuador), Aug. 24. President Isidro Ayora resigned today after the army had announced it was in “peaceful revolt.” The military received the support of local citizens, who paraded through the street's in orderly fashion demanding that Dr. Ayora resign. Dr. Ayora’ assumed office in April, 1929.
