William Morris was found guilty in the Supreme Court of the theft of goods valued at £55 and £0 9s 6d in money from A. J. White, Limited. Morris sold the goods to people at much below their value, collected the cash and shared it wjth his accomplice (already convicted; within the shop, and the accomplice prevented the eales from being entered in the firm’s books.
