THEFTS IN HARDWARE SHOP
SECOND OFFENDER CONVICTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. William Morris was found guilty in the Supreme Court of the theft of goods valued at £55 and £0 9s 6d in money from A. J. White, Limited. Morris had a confederate employed at White’s furniture and hardware shop. Morris sold the goods to people at much below their value, collected the cash and shared it wjth his accomplice (already convicted; within the shop, and the accomplice prevented the eales from being entered in the firm’s books. Morris was remanded for sentence.
