DOMINION GOLDMINING

INTEREST IN ENGLAND. CAPITAL READILY AVAILABLE. English capital would be available for any New Zealand goldmining proposition which appeared promising, according to Mr. F. J. Lysnar, of Gisborne, who returned to Auckland on Tuesday after an absence of two years in England. Mr. Lysnar said he went Home two years ago on behalf of New Zealand and Australian interests in a lead mine adjoining the Mount Isa - mine in Queensland. Owing to the slump on the mar-, ket for the base metals he was not successful in interesting English capital and finally floated a holding syndicate to tide over the bad period. “If it had been gold instead of lead I could have got on the market without trouble,” said Mr. Lysnar. “There is ft: very favourable feeling toward New Zealand in England, largely owing to th« absence of labour troubles in the Do* minion, and if English capitalists can be shown a gold proposition which would) give payable quantities it would be snap-*, ped up.” ~
