The weekly quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meat are based on actual sales of wholesale quantities oi carcases of mutton or lamb, or of quarters of beef delivered to Smithfield market, and/or ex London stores. They are compiled by the quotations committee, Smithfield. To arrive at the equivalent ex ship values one farthing per pound should be deducted from the prices quoted below. Quotations given represent the average for tiie week, and aie not selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of shipments how on oiler. FEILDING STOCK SALE.

FAT SHEEP EASIER

.Prices for both fat sheep and dairy stock were easier at the Feilding sale to-day, when large yardings were offered. In the fat sheep pens the Quality was not up to that showing last week, and prices were down about 2s 6d per head all round; ewes particularly were easier, but wethers and black faces not so far below the prices of a week ago. Fat wethers: Primest heavy, 20s; very good, 17s to 17s lOd; good, 16s 9d; fair, 13s 8d to 14s 3d.

Fat ewes; Primest, 17s 9d to 18s; prime, 16s 6d to 17e 4d; good, 12s 6d to 14s 6d; fair, Ils 4d; poor, 8s sd. Fat b.f.’s, very good condition, 19s 3d to 19s sd.

Fat hoggets: Fairly good condition, 12s 7d to 14s; fair, Ils Id to Ils 8d; poorer, at- 8s Gd; fat lambs, 18s. Stores; Ewe hoggets, good, Ils lOd to 14s 9d; others, 7s 4d to 9s Sd; wether hoggets, 8s to 9s 9d; two-tooth ewes, r.w. Southdown rams, 13s Sd. There was a heavy yarding of dairy stock, chiefly heifers. Late cfilvers sold at prices less in the favour of vendors than at previous sales. The quality generally was good, but farmers were not inclined to raise the standard of values. Good heifers running with bull, £6 5s to £6 12s 6d; fair condition, £5 to £5 19s; others, £4 to £4 15s; poor, from £3; heifers, calved. to £2 ss; heifers in milk, £4 2s Gd to £6 15s. Fat bullocks, £4 12s Gd;.. fat cows, heavy, £4 10s to £5 15s; lighter, £3 10s to £4 Is; store empty heifers, 32s to £2 ss; steers, £2 Is; yearling heifers, 32s Gd. to £2 2s Gd; cows, 7s'Gd to 28s; bulls, 10s to 19s.
