ALLEGED ATTEMPT TO ENTER
MEN REMANDED AT WELLINGTONWellington, Aug. 21. Leslie Gordon Clarke, aged 22, a seaman,. and Sydney John Hodge, aged 35, a carpenter, jointly charged with attempting to break and enter a store at Petone, were remanded in the Magistrate’s Court to-day on bail. It was stated that Clarke had been living in a bach' with Bro wn, and when it was searched an automatic pistol and leadloaded bludgeons were discovered.
