BODY FOUND IN HARBOUR
WELLINGTON CLERK’S DEATH. The body of Gilbert Davy Bettger, a middle-aged man, who had been missing from his lodgings at Kilbirnie since July 26, was taken from the harbour about half a mile on the Petone side of Ngahauranga to-day. Bettger was formerly ,a clerk in the Railway Land Office. It is reported thatpjrior to his disappearance he had been depressed on account of .his-wife’s death two years ago, but had given no indications of, Suicidal tendencm.s; ; :,iHe .is survived by a daughter, who is living in Auckland,
