The big prizes offered by the band euchre committee attracted 64 competitors on Thursday. The winners were Mrs. Bocock 1, Mrs. Wilson 2; Mr. F. Spurdie 1, Mi'. N. James 2. The hidden number competition was won by Mies M. Young and Mr. S. Schrieder. Mrs. E. H. Braybrooke presided over an attendance of 70 members and friends at the annual gathering of the Inglewood Women’s Institute on Wednesday. Visitors from the Tarata Institute were ■present. A short business discussion was held. Mrs. Kaye acted as secretary in the absence of Mrs. Burgess. A clever play-reading, ''Between the Soup and the Savoury,” was given by Mrs. BirchJohnston, Mrs. Braybrooke and Mrs. Kirkby and songs were sung by Mrs. Birch-Johnston and Mrs.’Faris. P. Peacock and Miss E. McAllum were the winners of a flag foursome match played on the Inglewood golf links on Thursday.
