ADDRESS TO FRONTIERSMEN.

There was a good attendance o? members of the Eltham troop of the Legion of Frontiersmen on Thursday, when an address on “The Royal North West Mounted Police” was delivered by Mr. A. W. Packard. It was ladies’ night, and the wives of members were present, as well as a contingent of members of the newly-formed Kaponga troop. The troop 0.C., Lieut. Darling, presided, and extended a welcome to the Dominion Commandant, Colonel Vickridge, and Mrs. Vickridge. Attention was drawn to routine orders, wherein Trooper R. B. He also touched upon life generally in the Canadian North West, and referred to the hinterlands of Canada as the hunter’s and trapper’s paradise.
