151 MINERS PROSECUTED
TROUBLE AT WALLSEND MINE.
ALLEGED ILLEGAL STRIKE.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, Last Night. Oue hundred and fifty-one miners, members of the Grey Valley union, were proceeded against to-day by the Labour Department. on charges of taking part in an alleged strike on June iR a Wallsend. Proceedings taken, previously against the union were dismissed and action is now being taker against the men individually. The trouble arose , over the employment of a surveyor in the mine who had also worked m the Briandale “tribute” mine. The Blackball Coal Company is now working two shifts daily, employing 40 miners, including unionists. This u additional to the Blackball Creek Company, a “tribute” concern. .
