NORTHERN DIVISION MEETS. INQUIRY ABOUT NEW BODY. A meeting of the northern division of the Taranaki Football Association was held in New Plymouth last night, Mr. M, Walbran -presided. It was unanimously decided to write to the New Zealand Football Association, through the Taranaki Football Association, asking whether it would be possible to form a separate association in North Taranaki. The Minister of Internal Affairs forwarded permission for the raffling of a work of art to raise funds for the northern division. The chairman and Messrs. Chapman, Jackson and Bremer were appointed a subcommittee to take . further steps. Provided the Pirates -were agreeable, Mr. J. Sceats, secretary of the Moturba Club, wrote saying they would give up Western Park next Saturday for the Albion-Hawera fixture. The nftitch was likely to be a public draw and should be played on the park, said the letter. Mr. Chapman explained that Pirates had had only one match on Western Park this season. It -was a question for the club, and he could not commit his club without being instructed on the matter. Mr. Smith (Moturoa) said the members of hie club had not made the suggestion in the letter, which had paparently been written by the secretary on. his own account. After disecussion, during which it was suggested the difficuluty might be overcome if Moturoa and Pirates could postpone their match till the following Saturday, it was decided that the secretary should telegraph the Celtic Club inquiring whether the team intended to travel to New Plymouth to play Pirates on August 15. It was pointed out that if Celtic then forfeited Moturoa and Pirates could play on Western Park on Saturday Week. Mr. G. liawrence, as referee in .the Albion-Caledonian match on Saturday, submitted to the meeting a copy of his report to the Taranaki Football Association that he had ordered off Western Park J. Hill (Caledonians) and J. Ashton (Albion). The report, which was read in committee 1 , will be considered by the executive of the
