The Opihi arrived at New Plymouth on Friday morning from Wellington and southern ports, but owing to the rough weather has not 'been able to sail. Spain,' Australian fruit exporters shipped 12,000 cases of oranges by the' P. and O. liner Barrabool, which left Melbourne on July 14. A special hold was reserved for the oranges to prevent contamination of other refrigerated cargo, and the fruit when landed will be inspected by officers of the Cambridge research organisation. This large ment is of particular interest in view of the experimental shipments made last month to Canada and the East.
