The populations of industrial towns under the five-year production plan have grown amazingly. Kuznetskstroi, formerly a town with 700 inhabitants, may now have 100,000. The Soviet'has created cultural bands of teachers, doctors and' hygienists to inculcate cleanliness in the inhabitants. It is also providing school children with free breakfasts and clothing.
