CITY’S DEFENCES PENETRATED.
54 TONS OF HIGH EXPLOSIVES.

Fifty-four tons of high explosive bombs and 1J tons of incendiaries were dropped on London by planes which penetrated the city defences, says a final communique announcing that the aerial war has ended. The attackers lost 84 bombers and the defenders 69 fighters.
