POPE RECEIVES CARDINALS
NO STATEMENT PUBLISHED.
By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rome, July 23.
The Pope to-day received all Cardinals at present in Rome. They remained closeted in the Pontiff’s apartments for a considerable time. No statement was issued. It is more than three years since the Pope held consistory. It may be assumed that the important events which have happened in the interregnum will be discussed. It is possible that a bulletin will be issued on Saturday, if the Pope allows.
