COLD WEATHER; RAIN TO COME.

The weather will be dull and misty Generally with rain north of Westport and Kaikoura and with some heavyfalls and scattered rain thence southwards. There will be snow on the high lands and temperatures will be cool. An intense cyclone hag moved rapidly on to the Dominion, its centre having been located over the Auckland Peninsula to-day. There will be strong winds between the north-east and the south-east, reaching gale fcrce in places north of Westport and Kaikoura. Seas will be rough north of Westport and Kaikoura, and elsewhere moderate. In the eastern Tasman Sea the winds are becoming west or south-west, strong in the northern portion and moderate in the southern. Seas will be rather rough to rough.
