SMALL INCREASE DURING WEEK.

Wellington, July 23. The unemployment registrations for the week ended July 20 are as follow; — Total registrations, 47,538. Apparent increase, 335. placed at work under No. 5 scheme, 29,994. Under No. '4 scheme, 5147. Under 4b scheme, 849.
Particulars of the registrations are:— Auckland, with dependents 2958, without dependents, 3771; Wellington. 2322 and 2201; Christchurch, 3101 and 1852; Dunedin, 1639 and 1283; Invercargill, 788 and 370.
