SERVICE OPENING TO-DAY.

CONNECTION WITH AUSTRALIA.

By Telezraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, July 21.

In connection with the radio telephone service, opening between Britain and New Zealand on July 23, it is stated that the New Zealand radio station, is too weak' to communicate direct with Britain, and therefore the Anglo-Aus-tralian system will be connected to the Australian-New Zealand circuit. The Sydney times may be uncertain owing to atmospherics, but the Post Office promises every effort for efficiency.

The New Zealand .Postmaster-General announced yesterday that the radio telephone service between New Zealand and all parts of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Dublin will be open for public use from to-day.
