FITZROY CHURCH SOCIAL

HOLY TRINITY CHOIR’S SUCCESS. MUSIC: SHAKESPEAREAN SCENE. There was a good attendance at the monthly social conducted by the Holy Trinity Church, Fitzroy. Arrangements had been made by members of the choir. Musical items were given by Misses Stafford and Prtiden, Mesdaines Weller and Webster, Messrs. Rogers and Stafford, recitations by Misses Wright, Wilson and Bleaklcy. Competitions were won by Mrs. Joll and Mr. Rogers. A Shakespearean reading, the trial scene from the Merchant of Venice, was rendered by Misses Stafford and Bleakley, Masters Stafford, Johnson, Bailey, Bounsell and Joll and Mr. R. Day. The reading was well done and thoroughly appreciated. After supper, which was served by members of the choir, the vicar, the Rev. W. 8. 0. Stephens, thanked the performert for tihe enjoyable programme.
