A MYSTERIOUS BLOTTER.
Here is the method, of making a most mysterious piece of blotting paper. Soak a piece of blotting paper in a solution of oxalic acid; when it is dry repeat the process. After this has been done a few times and the blotting paper is quite dry it will be ready for the trick. Ask a friend to write his name in ordinary ink on a piece of paper. Immediately the name has been written apply the blotting paper and it will be found that the writing has disappeared from the piece of paper. The fact is that the oxalic acid in the blotting paper has completely absorbed the ink.
