MYSTERY OF SUBMARINE
FOUND ON BOTTOM OF SEA ITS IDENTITY NOT KNOWN LONG DEAD CREW INSIDE INVESTIGATION BY DIVERS By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rome, June 17. As an outcome of persistent complaints by fishermen of their losing nets near Porto Recanati, a diver discovered intact a submarine with the remains of the long dead crew inside. The vessel lies in 90 feet of water and there is no outward sign of damage. Inquiries from Germany and Austria reveal that no submarine was lost there and Italy is not aware of any loss. Divers are now engaged in the hope of solving a gruesome mystery.
