MAGISTRATE’S COURT
CIVIL PROCEEDINGS HELD. A claim for £4 3s, the balance due for board and lodging for six weeks in January and February, 1930, at 25s a week was made by Jessie Campion against May Hedley in the Magistrate s Court at New Plymouth yesterday. After argument between the parties Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., gave _ judgment for the amount claimed, with costs totalling £1 16s. ' . . Judgment was entered for plaintiff m the civil claim of J. W. Wilson v. J. B. Erskine for £l7 (£2 14s costs). Tn judgment summons proceedings tne following orders were made.—A. J. Moocly to pay the Southern Union General insurance Co. of Australasia, Ltd., £5 0s 6<l and costs 15s 6<l, in default five days’ imprisonment; C. Oakes to pay Richard O’Brien £2 8s 9d forthwith, in default three days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as defendant pa'ys 10s a month.
